General Info

Pipo Ramen & Rice is a Thai restaurant that quietly stands out in Sacramento’s dining scene, especially for locals who enjoy comforting bowls of noodles and bold Southeast Asian flavors. Located at 6511 Savings Pl Suit 140 & 145, Sacramento, CA 95828, this spot feels casual and welcoming, the kind of place you return to when you want something satisfying without the fuss.

From the moment you look through the menu, it’s clear that ramen and Thai-inspired dishes are the heart of the kitchen. One of the most talked-about items is the Soft Shell Crab Pad Thai Noodles. The noodles are wok-tossed with balance and care, while the soft shell crab adds a crispy texture that pairs well with the savory-sweet sauce. It’s the type of dish that leaves a lasting impression and often pops up in local reviews.

Another standout is the Pipo Curry Ramen Aka Khao Soi. This bowl leans into rich curry notes, layered with creamy depth and gentle spice. It feels comforting yet complex, especially when enjoyed during dinner hours. For guests who prefer something more traditional, the Tonkotsu Ramen delivers a deep, hearty broth that feels slow-cooked and indulgent. Meanwhile, the Pipo Tom Yum Seafood Ramen brings brighter flavors to the table, combining tangy heat with seafood for a refreshing contrast.

Beyond noodles, the Crispy Pork Belly deserves attention. It’s cooked to achieve that perfect balance between crunchy skin and tender meat, making it a reliable choice whether you’re sharing plates or building a full meal around it.

Pipo Ramen & Rice also checks the boxes when it comes to services that matter. Delivery is available for those nights when staying in feels better, and dinner service is smooth and relaxed. Payment is easy with debit cards and NFC mobile payments accepted, and the atmosphere is good for kids, making it a practical choice for families as well as solo diners.

Overall, this restaurant blends comfort food with thoughtful preparation. What customers say?

“ Loved the atmosphere and vibes. Very happy with my curry ramen, tho the tonkatsu ramen broth wasn't as rich as your traditional Japanese ramen house- that's ok. The pork belly appetizer was yummy too ”

“ Clean restaurant, delicious food, and friendly service! Really, what more could you ask for??? Best pad Thai I ever had in my life. I love the crunch of the fresh green beans and mung beans sprouts. Wow. I also loved the curry ramen that they made vegetarian for me. Will return! ”

“ Pipo has the most satisfying ramen and boat noodles that keep me consistently coming back. I've tried other dishes and all of them are just as good. Soft Shell Crab Curry Ramen 5/5* I was skeptical at first if this was one of those gimmicky dishes, but it was definitely as delicious as it looks. The flavors remind me of Khao Soi. Pipo's softshell crab was a BIG boy, moist and plump, with a perfectly crisp batter without being oily. The curry was rich and creamy, which went well with the chewy ramen noodles. The egg was runny, and flavor was there. This ended up being my favorite of the meal and was so delicious, I keep coming back for it. Boat Noodle Soup 4/5* This broth was a nice dark color and so deep with flavors. It was rich, beefy, and a perfect balance of thick yet soupy broth. Spice level 3 was no joke It's slightly more spicy thanyour aVerage 3. I could see the chili oil and chili powder floating at the rim of the bowl. The beef wasn't as tender as I'd like and the noodles got a bit lost in the soup as it absorbed the broth and got too soft, no bouncy stringy-ness Crispy Chicken Fried Rice 5/5* The chicken is fried to perfection! Light, crispy batter encompassing juicy chicken. Pair with fried rice, it's a perfect combo. Crispy Pork Belly 3.5/5* Deep fried crispy pork belly, cut into bite sized pieces, drizzled with a sweet, sticky sauce and black sesame seeds. The cut was too small and dried out the pork belly. They were super crispy but I would've preferred a thicker cut for a juicier bite from the pork fat. Thai Iced Coffee 5/5* Refreshing on a hot day. Wasn't too sweet or too strong. The ramen is definitely the star here. There's a reason their name has Ramen showcased in it. Their soups have rich and deep flavors, and their spices should have warning labels. Solid place for a good bowl of noodles. ”

“ Great customer service, and food was very delicious, and flavorful! I found my favorite place to go for Thai Boat Noodles! :D Came by yesterday, and I tried the tom yum noodles. There was barely any seafood. I only have 3 shrimps and one of the seafood, and some cut up mushrooms. My husband got the pork belly, and he barely got any meat, mostly veggies. Wish they can give more meat. I still love their foods, and will come by again. (: ”

“ The food is great with big portion for each person. We got Pad See Ew and Curry ramen, which tastes very good. Staffs are friendly serving us, we will be back again! ”

“ OMG, hidden GEM alert . Me and the wifey found this place 4 weeks ago and have been back every week since. The food has always been super flavorful and tastes amazing every time! My favorite dish so far has been the boat noodle soup, however the Tum Yum Noodle Soup and Drunken Noodles isn't too far behind either because of the way they flavor their food. The owner/manager at this location is super friendly and easy to talk to. We're exited to continue to patronize this restaurant and try new dishes because so far everything we've eaten here has been top notch. ”
